About Company
The company was established according to Republican Resolution No. 2909 of 1964 on 9/20/1964 to convert the Egyptian Corporation for Reconstruction and Tourism Machines to an Egyptian joint stock company. 6/2000, and Resolution No. (7) of 2005 was issued, approving the Extraordinary General Assembly of Al-Mamoura Housing and Development Company to amend Article (2) of the Articles of Association, by amending the company’s name to Al-Mamoura Company for Construction and Tourism Development, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Tourism and Hotels.
Company History
On 9/22/1934, a royal decree was issued establishing the Egyptian Company for Lands and Buildings (an Egyptian joint stock company).
-On 4/11/1954, Law No. 565/1954 was issued authorizing the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Real Estate Sector, the lands, the area, the area in the areas of Al-Montazah and Al-Mamoura, and the license to establish an excellent residential area on these lands.
-Law No. 187 of 1955 was issued licensing the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs to accept a waiver from the company for the exploitation of the Montazah Palace and Mokattam areas. And certain specifications of the buildings to make them an excellent residential area, as well as the establishment of groups of elegant cabins on the area located on the seashore for the purpose of exploitation.
-Law No. 60 of 1962 was issued to liquidate the Egyptian Company for Lands and Buildings and to establish a public institution in the name of the Egyptian Corporation for Reconstruction and Tourism Construction, to be managed by a board headed by the Governor of Alexandria.
-Republican Decree No. 2909 of 1964 was issued to transform the Egyptian Corporation for Tourism – —Reconstruction and Development into an Egyptian joint stock company in the name of the General Company for Tourism Reconstruction, affiliated with the Egyptian General Corporation for Housing and Development.
-The board of directors of the Egyptian General Organization for Housing and Development issued a decision to amend the company’s name to become the Maamoura Company for Housing and Development affiliated with the Holding Company for Tourism and Cinema.
-In 2005, the company’s name was changed to Al Maamoura Company for Construction and Tourism Development, a joint stock company affiliated with the Holding Company for Tourism, Hotels and Cinema.
-It is located on an area of approximately 207 acres within the registered contract No. 1149 for the year 1956 in the Montazah Department and includes:
-Cabins and chalets with a number of 18 total, with a total number of 906
-Housing units with a number of 278 buildings, with a total number of (2713) housing units
-Commercial market / shops / mosques / car parks and amusement parks.
-A sandy beach on a coastal strip with a length of approximately 1200 m, on which a total of cabins, chalets, commercial and recreational activities and services are located.
